SO fun to finally get to see Booker's story, and Tess is so great for him. Despite his easy manner, Booker is a mature character with a lot of life experience under his belt. He recognizes this in Tess, too, and is so great to her because he knows how she feels. I love the guys in the Port Fare series!
If you like romance but have a hard time finding clean romances to read, this series is for you. It also has an element of suspense with a clear bad guy who kind of makes your skin crawl. Gammon's characterizations are fantastic, something that's really important to me when I read a book, and you will feel like you know Booker and Tess. You'll probably wish you were their friend.
All in all, a great romance I would recommend to anyone.
